These historic towns are gems in East Texas that you must see. Palestine (pronounced Palesteeen) will be our base of
operations where we will explore its famous downtown including Braly's Ace Hardware (housed in a 1911 elementary school)
the Sacred Heart catholic church, and the famous Ox Bow and Eilenberger's Bakery for delicious treats.
We board the famous Texas State Railroad for a round trip to Rusk including lunch and a visit to the museum before
returning to Palestine.
Itinerary
8:00 am - Board the Joye Mobile
10:00 am - arrive in Palestine for historic talk by docent
11:30 - Board train for tour to Rusk, eat lunch on the train.
3:30 - Return to Palestine
4:00 - Time to explore the town and the musuem
6:00 - Return to Huntsville
